Hi! I'm Jen, the owner of SIT RUN PLAY. I've been doing dog walking, overnight boarding, and dog daycare for over 16 years now. Six of those for a wonderful company in San Francisco. But I knew when I moved to Portland it would be time to start my own business, and so SIT RUN PLAY began. For me, there is nothing better than running around outside all day, getting dirty, getting slobbered on, getting doggie kisses, and giving belly rubs. I'm not sure who has more fun, me or the dogs? I fell in love with it pretty much from day one. This isn't a side gig for me, it's the gig. I absolutely love doing what I do. The dogs and I have so much fun, I can't imagine doing anything else.

“Finding Jen has been an absolute miracle for our Havanese—who has major separation anxiety. My husband and I travel a fair amount, and have left our pup with Jen on many occasions over the last year. He always comes home happy and completely normal which is a HUGE deal for an anxious and easily traumatized dog. We know he gets lots of love and exercise/socialization while we are away and that makes leaving so much easier. Jen is very reliable, responsive by email or text, and flexible with pick up and drop off. To me and my husband, there is definitely a difference between a dog lover and someone who understands dogs. Affection is important but so is understanding the exercise, discipline, and socialization side of being a dog owner. Jen understands dogs on top of being a warm and kind human being.
